About Seikomatic 15007D
This is the very first of the Seikomatics. The 2nd of the automatics after the Gyro-Marvel.
It has the 603 movement, which was to be the basis of the Grand Seiko movements. This particular movement is a 20jewel Seikosha. It beats at the standard 18000, and is a thin or slim movement, which Seikomatics are known or understood to be. Other versions of Seikomatics would be known as 6201's and 8300's, the 8300's, would be the Seikomatic-R's, the tail-end. The 603, the front end beginning in 1960.
